Recently done up for the newest member of our family to become a Pilot thru the Air Cadet program. 54 years ago my Dad earned his wings, but never received any wings to put on his uniform. This past weekend both of them now dawn Pilots wings!
These 2 cards were done up during his training:
The last card is one done up by his flight instructor: also a card crafter - small world eh!
This Cessna was cut out with my cricut and painted to match the colors of the plane the cadets trained in. Glossy Accents to embellish the windows and propellers. A spinner added at his Flight Center location and a metal charm!
This is a Tim Holtz embossing folder: Diamond Plate and Rivets on Sticky backed metal paper. Same svg cut airplanes ( you can get this svg here , under shapes) and a computer generated sentiment. Do you know what movie that quote is from?
Card made by his instructor: Great crafty minds think alike ehh! I think the map she used tho is that of a pilot!
Introducing our newest Captain!
The family couldn't be more proud!

What a wonderful project! And so cool that the instructor made a card too. I love how you've used that airplane. And Congratulations to your family! I would be proud too! :) Thank you for participating in the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog's "Make the Cut" challenge. We're so glad to be a part of your celebration! ~Michelle
ReplyDeleteHi, Laura! Thank you for the comment left on my blog, http:// cardmonkeyspaperjungle.com. You asked if I can provide a direct link to my Gems in a Binder item you found on Pinterest. For whatever reason, iPad won't show me a link, but the post appeared on my blog on November 4, 2011. Hope that helps!
ReplyDeleteYou have a very nice blog! I am a new follower.
Warmly,
Ellen (CardMonkey)
