Baby Book 2 ring binder

Making this one for a dear friend who has recently become a Grandmother. I used a Michaels book cover and ring package. Then added heavy, 2 sided paper for the inner pages, folded and hole punched. The paper is somewhat stronger than one sided paper, as I wanted to embellish the pages with lots of stuff, some heavier metal pieces, so it needed to be strong.

I'll post the inner pages a little later as I haven't given to her yet....but here's a peek at one.

Textured Butterflies

Loads of texture of this card. Glitter on the base paper butterflies, and the butterflies I die cut  and then embossed each one. My viva pens added the pearls for their little bodies.

Vintage 4 drawer box

I was dieing to use my old jeans for something. Finally got around to cutting some Tathered florals. I wasn't sure how this would turn out as knew I couldn't manipulate them as I do with paper. As it turns out, just using some Glue and Seal on them naturally curled them up a bit. Once I saw that was happening I thought I'd help them along a bit and used a paint brush tip and my tape dispenser. In the end they stiffened up pretty well and I was impressed enough to use them in this project:

Greetings from a little Birdie

There are so many things used to make this card. Tim Holtz dies for the bird and bird cage which are cut from it's own acytate packing and then alcohol inked and glittered.

The base of the flowers die cut from TH tathered florals, out of felt. The top layer of flowers hand sewn out of fabric. (each petal starts as a circle, fold it in half,  gather stitch along the straight edge and pull together to make one petal, then sew all the petals together.)

Two types of bows, ribbon and twine.

The tag is by Spellbinders stamped with a little stamp I picked up from Michaels.

The viva pen made some easy pearls on the base of the cage and some gems to center the flowers.

All based on some K and Company paper.
