Spring is in the air....somewhere I'm sure

There's a bit of Spring in the air....at least in my card....not outside my window!!!

I soooo love the idea of these hinged cards- using my dies.
I'm having a bit of trouble getting consistently clean cuts with this die at the moment. I just keep at it until I get a good one.  A solution is on the way so I can, and will continue to create these cards. I trust the company and have received awesome service about it's replacement.
The stamp is from Just Rite and colored with copic markers with a bit of glitter glue.
The green rose is hand rolled, the blue ones where bought.
Leafy die and double bowed bow.
Second die cut layer is adhered with foam dots for dimension

Stencils and Paste

This card was sprayed with Dyan Dylusions  and stenciled with various designs.
The top layer I used white Paste and a flowered stencil.
I only just yesterday learned how to make the twine firm, so I will get at that and make the bows much prettier. The pink DD sprays bled into the paste and turned the white into a soft pink color.

This is the same flower stencil, but here I used ink instead of Paste.
Digi butterfly colored with copic markers and a TH Tattered flower spray inked.

Victorian Lady

This pretty lady is stamped with archival black ink, and colored with my new Distress Ink markers. It's a learning curve for sure, and I've got some work to do, but I'm liking how they work.  They are best used on Watercolor paper...cold pressed for this image and die cut from

Spellbinders Ovals and the Oval floral die for it's background.

Hand rolled rose and Martha Stewart punched leaves.

What didn't show up in the photo is some diamond sparkles in her necklace and earings. Kinda reminds me of the Blue Heart necklace for the Titanic movie. Why Rose threw it in the ocean in the end, I'll never understand!
